Bringing Care, Comfort, and Dignity to Our Elders: A Christmas Day Medical Outreach in Sangotedo
On Christmas Day(Dec 25th 2025), a season that symbolizes love, compassion, and giving, Crystalaid Healthcare Partners, in partnership with Rehoboth Hills Foundation, extended these values beyond celebration by delivering a comprehensive medical outreach to the elderly community in Sangotedo, Lagos.
This outreach was intentionally designed to address the unique health needs of older adults, a population that often faces barriers to consistent and affordable healthcare. Over the course of the day, more than 70 elderly patients were consulted, each receiving personalized medical attention in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
The medical services provided were broad and impactful, reflecting the most common and pressing health challenges faced by the elderly. These included eye care services, addressing vision problems that significantly affect quality of life; diabetes and hypertension screening and management, critical for preventing complications of chronic illnesses; and management of tropical illnesses, which remain prevalent and potentially life-threatening in vulnerable populations.
Beyond clinical care, the outreach was a moment of reassurance and human connection. For many beneficiaries, it was not just about receiving medication or medical advice, but about being seen, heard, and cared for during a time of year that can be isolating for the elderly. The joy, gratitude, and relief expressed by the patients reaffirmed the importance of community-based healthcare interventions.
This Christmas Day outreach stands as a testament to what meaningful collaboration can achieve. Through the shared vision of Crystalaid Healthcare Partners and Rehoboth Hills Foundation, healthcare was brought directly to those who needed it most—restoring hope, promoting wellness, and honoring the dignity of our elders.
As we continue our mission to expand access to quality healthcare, this outreach reinforces our commitment to serving vulnerable populations and ensuring that no one is left behind, especially those who have given so much to society.
Together, we are not just providing healthcare—we are building healthier, more compassionate communities. ❤️
